Canvas patio cover

One of the canvas patio cover greatest advantages is that it can be manufactured to be retractable as L.I.TRA. does. Whether by manual operating system or electric motor, the L.I.TRA. Patio Cover can be open and closed when circumstances dictate; Other advanatages are such as enjoying the stars on a cool summer night or taking in the sunrise a cup of coffee. You can’t do that with a fixed patio cover.

Canvas patio covers also give a more open and unobtrusive feel to your outdoor space. As nice as permanent structures can be, they sometimes tend to make you feel as though you’re still indoors. Canvas moves slightly with the breeze and can be translucent, meaning it only allows light through in a diffused state. These two things give the canvas canopy an open and airy feel that can’t be replicated with wood.

Another type of canvas patio cover is the typical free standing canopy. The canvas canopy offers the versatility of being portable and easy to set up anywhere. They are ideal for a concrete pool patio during the summer months or atop a wood deck for entertaining guests for dinner.

Maintaining Aluminum Patio Furniture Covers

Maintenance for aluminum patio covers is as easy as a hose and some soap. Generally installed at a slight angle to aid water runoff, spraying the cover with a hose several times a year is usually all that’s needed. For more persistent dirt you simply use a push broom and some soap and it should come off easily. If the cover starts to look a bit ragged after a few years it can be repainted, but a specific process must be used.

One of the biggest concerns for aluminum patio covers is their attractiveness to birds and certain insects. The heat dispersing properties of aluminum make it a great place for birds who might build a nest in the corner where the patio cover meets the house. Debris from the nest can easily clog the gutters, creating drainage issues. Bees seem to like aluminum as well and are prone to building their nests on the underside against the house.

Canvas has long been used for a variety of outdoor needs including tents and tarps, sails, banners, car and boat covers, and many other things. Its tight weave makes it ideal for sun and water protection, especially if treated with additional agents to increase performance. While canvas may not look as sophisticated as wood or be as durable as aluminum, it definitely has its advantages for use in patio covers.

The most easily recognizable of all canvas patio covers is the canopy. The canvas canopy is mounted on the wall of a building with two poles at either corner also attached to the wall at an angle.

The L.I.TRA. Patio Covers can be retractable motorized or retractable manual depending on your needs.
